Athletes Supporting Advocacy & Prevention (A.S.A.P.) is a Gopher Leadership Group that prepares athletes to lead sexual violence prevention efforts within their team, including facilitation of the required annual prevention training. A.S.A.P. is co-led by the Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program and The Aurora Center. A.S.A.P. members meet monthly on Monday evenings to receive training on trauma-informed facilitation, supporting peers who have experienced sexual violence, consent, healthy relationships, bystander intervention and other topics central to prevention. They receive support throughout the year to confidently lead their team’s spring prevention training.
